This coming Sunday morning, March 5, just prior to the
2012 Bonecast,
Kay will be the Featured Guest on
Transitions Radio Magazine with Alan Hutner and
Elizabeth Rose.
Alan will be interviewing Kay about the Throwing of the Bones. Its
ancient history and rich culture, its dynamic and intricate details
accumulated and refined throughout its thousands of years of evolution.
According to Kay’s teachers Domano and Chea, whose people have mostly
stayed apart from the western world to this day, the Throwing of the
Bones is the most ancient form of divination or talking with the Spirits
known.
Kay has studied and worked with the Spirits of the Bones for more than
three decades. Part of the requirements to learn the Throwing of the
Bones is intense mask work so that eventually when one does get
permission after many years of study to Throw the Bones for others,
one’s own personal mask agendas are not part of the process anymore. A
student does not get permission if the teacher is not convinced of their
ability to not involve their own masks in the process.
The Bone Spirits speak in pictures, metaphors and symbols. These
forms of communication carry vast amounts of information that the seeker
digests over time, bringing with it continued waves of understanding
through the seeker's life. A Bone Throw is not like other divination - this is a
"Calling of the Spirits" ceremony. Information and healing is
offered and transferred on many different levels at once.
Transitions Radio Magazine, now
in its 23rd year, airs live every Sunday, 8 am to 11 am, on KBAC FM, Radio
Free Santa Fe, 98.1 FM in Santa Fe and 95.9 FM in Albuquerque, New
Mexico. |

In the last issue of our Newsletter we made a brief announcement about
our “Bonecasts”: an upcoming series of full length, 2 hour, interactive,
open to the public, Bone Throws. The Bonecasts begin this coming Sunday,
March 5, at 12 Noon, Mountain Time; we’ll be talking with the Spirits
who have a whole lot they want to tell us about the year 2012. This
inaugural event will be free of charge. |
